I am a musicologist in the Department of Music, University College Cork, Ireland. In June 2011 I began a three-year Marie Curie fellowship, during which I held consecutive Visiting Scholar appointments at UCLA Department of Musicology and NYU Department of Music. My principal research and teaching interests lie in power and subjectivity in music, particularly in relation to gender, sexuality and eroticism, and race and ethnicity. There’s a little more detail on my UCC profile. You can contact me via email (ml.marshall[at]ucc.ie) and I tweet as @drmelmarshall.
